He takes these distorted images by taking regular photographs of normal people and then crumbles them up to distort them this way. The original image is taken in a studio with studio low key lighting to create a black plain background.

After crumbling the image up the picture of the crumbled up paper is taken again in the studio with a high aperture in order to capture all of the texture within the paper. I will also need to use studio lights in order to create shadows within the frame and make the paper look realistic.

This image is then put into black and white to increase the contrast within the image and strengthen the highlights.

I think by looking at this body of work that these images were intended to use an image that is very ordinary such as a high fashion profile photograph and turn it into something out of the ordinary.

This also successfully makes the photograph
