Birth and Early Life
Mimis Plessas was born in Athens on October 12, 1924.
His musical talent manifested early on, and during his school years, he became the first piano soloist on Greek radio.
Musical Career
In 1952, Plessas embarked on a professional career in music composition. From 1956 onwards, he excelled as a conductor and composer.
Notable works include operettas, the ballet suite "Athenian Panorama," and the operas "Orpheus and Eurydice" (1998) and "Zeus."
Film and Theater
Plessas had a prolific career writing music for film and theater. He composed over 104 film scores and 70 theatrical productions.
